R.O.I. Media is looking for a dynamic, self-driven extrovert with fantastic communication and organisational skills to join our young and vibrant team as the Head of the Social Media department. This is a rare opportunity to work in a highly skilled environment and to add value. This position requires an individual who is passionate about social media strategies and delivering results and ensuring engagement across all social platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google+, Linked-In etc.) This is an ideal role for a social media expert with the ability to maintain and target specific and actionable goals, including traffic, revenue, audience growth and fan engagement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the overall social media strategy and implementation for all clients and R.O.I. Media online entities
  • Developing comprehensive social media programs
  • Oversee development of, creation and management of long term social media campaigns and content calendars, monitoring community engagement and conversations as well as establishing brand tonality and voice.
  • Manage SM team and day to day social media activities for all clients on all platforms, including regular updates and engagement.
  • Act as the R.O.I Media's social media evangelist by educating, training, socializing and reporting on how best to leverage social media to meet the organization's business objectives including industry participation through conference attendance & publishing
  • Create and participate in social media campaigns and pitches that support brand objectives, increase digital traffic and engagement and demonstrate return on investment
  • Manage ROI Media’s social media presence and execute the social media strategy
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of each social media campaign against set targets and goals.
  • Report back on R.O.I. of campaigns
  • Client relationship development and growth of accounts
  • Media plan & project management
  • New business opportunity participation
  • Conduct social media audits to assist the Sales team to convert prospective clients
  • Craft social media viral campaigns that can be rolled out to clients
  • Operational and Management reporting
  • Cross-organizational/discipline integration
  • Responsible for SM service offering and new service offering development
  • Responsible for motivating and recommending SM tools and services

Personal Skill/Attributes

  • Proven department management and executive reporting
  • Strong project management or organisational skills
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Google+, Digg, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr , Pinterest etc.) and how they can be deployed in different customer and brand scenarios
  • Strong knowledge of blogging and a good firm understanding of blogger outreach
  • Have a good knowledge of SEO
  • Good writing skills essential
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
  • Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
  • Public relations, Marketing, Sales, Community Management experience, a plus
  • Agency experience an advantage

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary degree (communications, marketing, public relations)
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms.
  • At least 2 years experience using social media analytics tools
  • SEO efficient a benefit

Media is looking for two dynamic, self-driven extroverts with fantastic communication and organisational skills to join our vibrant team as Business Development Managers in Johannesburg and Cape Town. If you are someone who eats, sleeps, breathes and dreams all things digital - someone who has a solid grasp of what digital agencies do, the services and the value they provide to clients when their ideas are put into action – then this is the ideal opportunity for you!

This position requires individuals who are passionate about digital marketing services and delivering results. Your primary role will be to prospect those companies and industries which can benefit from a comprehensive, strategic approach to developing a result-oriented digital strategy, and efficiently close such sales opportunities. The majority of leads will be generated by your prospecting and be supplemented by R.O.I. Media's marketing efforts.

If you have the below experience then this position is perfect for you:

  • Passion for and knowledge of all things digital (strategy, SEO, paid search, conversion design, web development, social media, ORM etc)
  • Responsible for prospecting, pitching and achieving the set sales revenues and profitability objectives for all R.O.I. Media products and services
  • Responsible for developing the sales plans and initiatives to meet new business objectives
  • Responsible for the successful execution of the sales plan
  • Responsible for the crafting and negotiation of proposals, pitches and contracts
  • Responsible for the monitoring of competitor sales efforts and strategies ensuring market intelligence is up to date and developing tactics and strategies to mitigate competition
  • Responsible for submitting accurate and timely sales forecasts and sales reports as required by management
  • Responsible for improving reach and brand awareness in target markets

  • Selling at the CEO and agency level to major local and multinational corporations
  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in solution selling tactics

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least three years of business development and/or digital account management experience. We need someone who has a track record of qualifying leads, generating new ones and closing!
  • Tertiary degree beneficial
  • Proven experience and successes in digital agency business development
